A. Pretty close call between St Thomas Aquinas (genius at reconciling the faith of the Church and the logic of Aristotle) and Immanual Kant (can barely understand it, but in a sea of 'rationalism' re-awakened the philosophical 'truth' of faith and the existence of God) Unfortunately as strictly an amateur I haven't made in depth studies, but from what I have read these two impress me most.
